For the second year in a row, author Bob Stone has challenged himself to complete a 75,000 word novel between September to October to raise money for Prevent Breast Cancer.
Bob has combined his passion and experience to raise funds for Prevent Breast Cancer in a unique way after one of his close friends was diagnosed.
Bob said: “Cancer is one of those things that affects so many people one way or the other. But until it happens to someone you know. That’s when it really hits home.”
Each book title relates to a song title, with this year’s novel being called The Star That Shines for You.

As breast cancer is highly treatable in the early stages, Bob aims to normalise self-checking and believes that it should be something taught at an early age.
Bob has encouraged people to add their own additions to the novel. He also left the back pages to fill with individuals who had battled with cancer to write their own short story.
