A man has been left with a gunshot wound to the leg after an incident in Tuebrook last night prompting an investigation by Merseyside Police.
It is believed the incident happened at around 9:40pm on Denman Drive with police being contacted at 10:10pm to reports of the shooting.
The man in his twenties was taken to hospital for treatment with non life threatening injuries.
In response to the incident there is an increased police presence in Tuebrook, with officers conducting house to house enquiries and checking CCTV in The area.
Police are asking the public to come forward with any information that can assist with their investigation, particularly anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious or may have dashcam or doorbell footage.
