Bob Stone, who organised the event at Write Blend said: “There have been several high-profile celebrity cases over the last few years which are terribly sad but do raise awareness.

“Much more needs to be done to encourage women, and men too, to check themselves regularly and often so that breast cancer can be caught and treated early. We believe it should even be taught in high school along with other aspects of health and welfare.”

Statistics from Ezra, a full body MRI company, showed that women whose breast cancer is detected at an early stage have an 93 percent or higher survival rate in the first five years.

Bob added: “I personally know too many women whose lives have been changed forever by breast cancer and I will always do what I can to support and to raise awareness.”
