A Merseyside law firm has raised £1,500 at a charity event in aid of traffic accident support group Aftermath Support.

Sophie Morris, 22, and Beth McMahon-Bell, 20, from the firm Carpenters Group, organised the event at Fredricks Bar on Hope St last week.

Aftermath Support is an organisation that provides comfort to anyone affected by road traffic collisions around the Northwest of England. They offer confidential advice and emotional support.

Sophie said: “The reason why we wanted to do it for Aftermath is because in our work we speak to victims of road traffic accidents and, unfortunately, the families who lost people in road collisions.

“Aftermath helps them both in a legal sense and personal for counselling, police inquests and the personal injury side.”

With the quiz being a huge success from people getting involved and donating. Sophie said: “Me and Beth reached out to a number of Merseyside businesses, and we were taken back by the sheer number of places that wanted to donate prizes for us.

“We got days out, services, and bottles of alcohol – which went down a treat.”

Karen Blair, 55, is the CEO of the charity and offered a heartfelt thanks to Sophie and Beth, and thanked everyone who attended as they exceeded their target and went beyond their expectations by raising the amount of money they did.
