There is great news for Park Palace Ponies riding school which has been granted charitable status, allowing it to stay open.

It was announced last week that the riding school was due to close last Friday because of a lack of funding, but they have been granted a second lease of life for their beloved ponies.

The riding school first opened in 2017 as a social enterprise by a group of volunteers who love all things horse-related.

Following the good news, the school said “We need some time to process and plan for the future and a big thank you to our team and volunteers who have been magnificent through this trying time.

“We look forward to welcoming back our children and groups in the near future.”

Park Palace Ponies set up a GoFundMe page which raised over £1,000.

However, this is just a small portion of £30,000 which is needed for the group to survive.

The School, located on the corner of Mill Street in Dingle, is set to re-open tomorrow for all their regular customers and anyone who wants to support the local community.
