The Beacon Primary School in Heyworth Street, Everton is closed today after a car crashed into the building.
Reports were received at around 8:30 this morning of a car colliding with the primary school, and emergency services have arrived at the scene.
No children were present at the scene.
The female driver is currently being assessed for injuries.
The passenger sustained a minor injury.
The building is to be assessed for “structural damage”, Merseyside Police reported.
Road closures are currently in place, and police are urging to avoid the area until further notice.
