The family of a woman who died in a collision on the M6 motorway have paid tribute to the loving grand-mother to be in a statement released this morning.
At around 12.15am yesterday Cheshire Police responded to reports of concern for the safety of a woman on a slip road between the M6 and M62.
Emergency services attended the scene between junction 21 on the M6 and junction 21a on the M62.
Officers later issued a statement reporting 52-year-old Lisa Kelsall was struck by a white Citroen Relay van on the M62 slip road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lisa’s family said: “(A) Loving daughter, mother and grandmother to be, taken too soon. RIP Lisa Kelsall. Forever in our hearts.”
The driver of the van was a 47-year-old man from Preston, who failed to stop at the scene.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and has since been released under investigation.
Cheshire Police officers are now urging for anyone with information to report it via the Cheshire Police Website, or to call 101.
